A few days after securing your housing and signing your housing agreement you will receive an email from "DoorLoop". Save the login information for your DoorLoop account. You will use this account throughout the duration of your time with us.
Rent is owed from the first day you arrive at our housing until the last night you spend in our housing. Upon arriving you will owe rent from your arrival date until the next payday Friday (the Fudgery pays every other Friday). Rent for the upcoming 2 weeks will be charged to you through your DoorLoop account every payday.
You are expected to pay your rent through your DoorLoop account on payday Friday once you have an American bank account. DoorLoop will give you a place to add your bank account information for an echeck. You will need your bank routing and account number. Try not to use your card number because DoorLoop will charge you a very high fee that we cannot change or refund. Double check your account and routing information before submitting payment. If you made a mistake, then the banks and DoorLoop may charge you fees that we cannot change. Make sure to review the page on banking to be sure you have the right type of American bank account to avoid unnecessary fees.
Rent is due on payday Friday (for the two weeks starting that day). Per the housing agreement late fees will be charged to your account if rent is not paid 5 days from when it is due. Be sure to review this part of the housing agreement so you are not surprised by unnecessary late fees. Late fees are posted automatically by DoorLoop based on the fee schedule in the housing agreement. If you have an extenuating circumstance regarding your account, payment or late fee then email workandtravel@fudgeryfudge.com or homeoffice@fudgeryfudge.com.
DoorLoop provides a history of the charges and payments on your account through the payments tab. It is helpful to look at this tab so you can see what is owed and why. Sometimes team members will receive emails that might be confusing so always look at the details of your account, it will answer most questions. Below is an example of the details you could see on your DoorLoop account.

In this example, the TM arrived on 3/31 but paid their housing deposit on 3/6 via Paypal to secure their housing. They are charged prorated rent of $132.14 on 3/31 for 3/31 - 4/4. The first payday for The Fudgery after this TM arrived was 4/5, so two weeks of rent is charged to cover the dates of 4/5-4/18. The team member owes a total of $502.14 for rent from 3/31-4/18 ($132.14 + $370=$502.14).
DoorLoop also offers a full account statement option by clicking on the account statement button in DoorLoop.
Please note that when you arrive, a rent bill will post to your DoorLoop account for your first day of arrival until the next Fudgery payday, this amount will be less than a full two weeks because it is prorated, then on the first payday Friday that you are in town (whether you get paid or not) a full-two week bill will be posted to your DoorLoop account and then a full two-week bill will continue posting every payday Friday until you move out of our housing. You are responsible for paying each of these bills within 5 days of them posting or you will incur late fees per the policy in your folder.
DoorLoop will email you notifications of upcoming bills before they post to your account. Be sure to review your account details before emailing us regarding these emails.

Any emails sent that ask questions (including rent calculations or rent charges) which are addressed on this website or on the forms will receive a delayed response. We receive a large volume of questions and we must prioritize the ones that cannot be handled by your review of this website or your DoorLoop details.
